Sports prosthetics
Sports and running prosthetics
Running blades, swim and surf legs, and activity-specific prostheses for people who want to train, compete or just get back in the water.
Maegan calls you back personally, usually within one business day.
- AOPA Certified
- One clinician, start to finish
- Home visits or Birtinya clinic
- NDIS, DVA & WorkCover

This can help if you want to
- Run again, for fitness or competition
- Surf, swim or walk on the beach without risking your everyday leg
- Get back to the gym, cycling or team sport
- Get more out of your everyday prosthesis when you exercise
Running
Running-specific feet (blades) attach to a dedicated socket, or to your everyday socket with an adaptor. We talk through blade stiffness, socket fit and suspension for your sport, and help you start safely, ideally alongside a coach or physio.
Water and beach
Water-resistant feet and dedicated swim or surf legs let you get in the ocean without risking your everyday prosthesis.
Funding
Sports prostheses can be harder to fund. The NDIS may fund one where it supports your goals, and some people self-fund. We will help you understand your options before anything is made.
